Defragment tool Shutting Down in middle of operation

I've have tryed to defrag my computer and every time I try it gets a little
way into the process and then shuts down and dissappears I dont know why it
would this.
Any Ideas?

I just tryed restarting my computer and ran defrag and my computer rebooted
what does this mean?
