just because it works on yours does not mean it is true for every one.
just because there is a ms description does not mean it applies to every one.

That a feature acts a certain way on a computer you have doesn't mean that's
the default for all systems. If you are seeing a certain behavior you
should qualify your post to say this is how it happens here, but I suggest
you not make a blanket statement about it unless you are certain that's how
it works and not just something specific to your system.
I posted a link to the FAQ about how it works. It is true that defrag, if
the scheduled time is missed, will run the next time the system boots during
idle time.
