how long does it take to defrag 400G of hardisk, the

Well woorst case would be several weeks. Really there is no way to answer
that question. The good thing is you can cancel defrag at any time and it
will not hurt anything.

Get DiskKeeper. version 7 or 8. It has a "screensaver" mode in which it
will defrag selected partitions when the computer is idle.

Works a treat! Defrag your system while you sleep.
