defrag problems

Windows XP Pro Sp1 w/all critical updates

I run "System Suite 5" by "V-Com" for AV, firewall and
system maintenance.

When I defrag my drives (all less than 50% full) I get an
error message "coult not completely defragment drive
because spaces between unmovable clusters are too small"

Is there any way to put these "unmovable clusters" in one
place?

What is the purpose of "unmoveable clusters"?

Why do "unmovable clusters" get so scattered?

any help or info would be appreciated. These "unmovable
clusters" are causing a performance hit.

A Google indicates that the product you are using apparently comes with its
own defrag utility. If you're using its defrag functionality then your
problem is almost surely related to that 3rd party product and not with
Microsoft products, and in that case you should visit this site for help as
the topic is not germane to this newsgroup:
http://www.v-com.com/support/main_systemsuite.html

That product's Help section should address all your above questions.
