Definitions Update

I am constantly updating definitions from 5737 to 5739.
The problem with updating definitions has been going on
since they put this product out. You would think, after
MONTHS, they could get this fixed!! Each time I check for
updates it tells me it is updating frim 5737 to 5739. MS
please fix this!

Hi

Download latest version, 1.0615

Nope. I have 615 - same problem. Still thinks I have
5737 and it downloads 5739 over and over again.

This is a problem that has not been fixed in build 615.

Perry,
I've installed the new Beta 615 build, did the removal of
the 127kb "gcUnCompress-MSAS sys32.dll" file as instructed
by Robin and am "still" having to manually update the defs
as Andre told us how to long ago. I wish they'd fix the
software instead of just letting it loop as it's silly to
have to keep doing this. People using auto update aren't
even aware of this issue as I found out from a friend that
I told about this found out!

Me 2...I have vers 615...and the correct version of
gcUncompress.dll- MSAS still reloads defs 5739. Is there
another "fix" for this?

Update:

After waiting 5 hours I tried another "check for updates"
manual update. This time it "stuck."

It appears this is an architecture/infrastructure issue.
the back end servers aren't synching up for several hours
after an update is posted, or there is a cacing issue on
the Internt (but not a local PC cache issue).
