Defender

I am not sure if this is the rite group to discuss MS Defender but as there
is no other reference, I take the liberty to discuss here.
I have already downloaded and installed more than 5 times its Definition
Update 1.14.1402.2 for BETA Windows Defender (KB915597)
First, the application does not recognize above application , as it is
continuously referring to previous update.
Second the Windows Update is continuously mentioning application as not
installed and always refer to it as critical update.
Does it happen with someone ?
In such case how to overcome the problem and install the real last update,
please ??

Try this workaround:

1. Remove the current signature file. To do this, click Start, click Run, type
Msiexec /x {A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-03874BBD4C2C}
and then click OK.
2. Open Windows Defender. To do this, click Start, click Programs,
and then click Windows Defender.
3. Check for new definitions. To do this, click the Help options arrow next
to the Windows Defender Help icon, click About Windows Defender, and
then click Check for Updates.
