Defect: Extracting individual file from a windows zip file

I used the built in XP zip capabilities to zip up a bunch of files in a
project I had. Now when I browse the compressed .zip file and attempt to drag
and drop one particular file it tells me the system cannot find the specified
file. !?!?! This also occurs on a test machine I have.

I can work around the issue by right clicking on the zip and extracting all
files. When I do the extract all it gives me no error message and all the
files are there, it is only when I browse to a few particular files (very
long names) that it gives me the error.

Does anyone know if this is a known defect?

Hi,

No defect, that's how it works with .zip files.
