Hi,

Anybody know if the default font and size can be altered in wordpad?

Thanks,

Tony

Not from within Wordpad but it can be tricked into it.

Open Wordpad and select the typestyle and size desired. Press the space bar
once (if this isn't done the new size doesn't stick.)
Save as some simple filename (I use "default.rtf" without the quotes in a
location that won't require you to use quotes around any of the path. Save
as an .rtf file type.

Close Wordpad. Right click and drag the Wordpad icon from the Accessories
menu to the desktop and then select Copy when the mouse is released. Right
click on the new icon and left click Properties. Under Target, press the
End key on your keyboard (or get to the end of the line which should be
....wordpad.exe" and type the full path and filename one space behind the
last quote on the line.

By double clicking on the new Wordpad icon you will open the file with the
new size. Just remember you will always have to File, SaveAs to create a
new filename, otherwise anything you save to the default file will open the
next time. What you are doing in effect is to create a default template
file like Word's normal.dot but since Wordpad doesn't use templates you have
to fake it.

Let us know if this helps.
