Default Ports Missing FILE: LPT1: etc..

I had a couple of printers set to print to file and all of a sudden they
don't work. So I looked at the port settings for the printers and the FILE:
LPT1: etc.. are all gone from the ports list. I looked at a working system
and as far as I can tell all of the files are there. I can't figure out how
to get the default local ports back. All of the network printer ports are
there as well as the AUTODESK DWF WRITER port and I can print to all of
those so the spooler is still working.

Any Ideas?

Hi Steve,

we had the same problem with an installed remote software control
(Netsupport Manager).
The port list is provided by the port monitor, which is normally
"localspl.dll".
