Default Paper Output?

Hello,
Does anyone know how to set the default HP 8000N paper output to the side
tray instead of the top? I'm using a program that doesn't allow for
selecting this through the normal windows print setup.

Not sure this will work, but what happens if you set it from the
printer's control panel instead of the driver?

But I just looked and I do have that setting in the printer
properties. Right-click on the printer and select properties, then the
General tab. On this tab there is a button for printing preferences.
Click this button and then the Advanced button on the next window. Not
sure that will change the settings for your program, though.
