Default Ownership of Files

I'm a member of local admins but when I create a file
Windows 2000 tags Administrators as the owner not my
username. Can this default be changed and what is the
reason for this? I would think it would make more sense
to have my own name tagged to the file so I can better
distinguish it from a system created file.

I would have to imagine that it's because of
the "Generally Accepted" concept AG<=P... (In a domain, it
would be A GG DL <= P)

Accounts get put into Groups, and you assign permissions
to groups, not users. As far as changing the default
behavior, I'm not sure how you would do that. Unless you
added more users to the Administrators group, you should
be the only one in that group.

If you are logged in as an Administrator, why wouldn't you
want other Administrators to access the directory you're
creating, anyways?
