Default network traffic adapter ?

Hello,

I've got two network cards on my laptop (ethernet LAN and wifi).

When my two cards are switched on, default network traffic goes through
my ethernet LAN adapter.
I would like to change my default network traffic adapter, in my
situation this should be my wifi adapter.

Anyone know a solution to change my default network traffic adapter ?

I guess that I need to change my route table configuration, without any
success for the moment.

What happens when you remove the cable from the ethernet port?

When more than one network connection is available, Windows XP uses
the one with the lowest metric value. To do what you want, assign
metric values to the wired and wireless connections, giving a lower
value to the wireless one.

To assign a metric to a network connection:

1. Open the Network Connections folder.
2. Right click the desired connection.
3. Click Properties | Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
4. Click Properties | Advanced.
5. Un-check "Automatic metric".
6. Enter a number between 1 and 9999 for the "Interface metric".

Yes it is.
The solution is to change the metric of my Ethernet LAN adapter.

Now, I just want to keep local network traffic with Ethernet LAN
adapter, and Internet traffic over my wifi adapter.

I think that I have just to play on my routing table entries (on the
metric parameter).
