Default mail client

When I click an email address to email on a webpage in IE7 I get a message
saying "Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is
not properly installed."

I have gone into the default programs and made sure it is listed as a
default program and it is.

Click Start, select Default Programs
Click Set program access and computer defaults
Click Custom, and select your mail client
Click OK

Then, follow these steps:

Click Set your default programs
Select your mail client from the list
Click Set this program as default
Click OK.
