default home page squatted by coolsearch.com

i used to assign my homepage as hotmail.com. somehow, this
site "www.coolsearch.com" has taken over my home page.
Changing the homepage to hotmail.com in the tools/internet
options does not help as it goes back to coolsearch.com
the next time I open my IE 6 browser. Any advice?

you have a "popular" problem.

search (or browse) this discussion (or just google) for that url and
"hijack" or "lost home page"
you'll probably be swamped in suggestions (and the suggestions are similar)

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
