Default Headers

I have a problem returning my headers back to their default position. I inserted a footer and that worked out fine. After I did that, however, I noticed that some of the headers (I didn't even input anything into them) were larger than the defaults; this prevented me from bringing my copy to the top of the document on those pages. I tried using the "show previous" function that was mentioned in the Word User's Guide, but the "save previous" is not highlighted so I can't change all of the headers back to the same size. What's worse is that everytime I pull up a new document page, it comes up with a large header - forcing me to start the document halfway down the page. Does anyone know how I can return things back to normal, i.e., either setting the header defaults that are set in Word or changing my "large" headers into smaller ones. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Probably not a header issue at all. On the Layout tab of Page Setup, make
sure the vertical alignment is set to Top and not Centered.

Hi Suzanne - Thank you SO MUCH! I really appreciate it. Your suggestion worked! I guess I should have tried posting a message before spending a couple of hours trying to figure it out on my own.
