Default Download directory

How do I reset my default download directory. For quite a while, IE6
(within WinXP) was downloading by default to my "Download" directory. Then
suddenly it started downloading to my desktop. How do I switch back to my
download directory?
 
P.S. I checked in my registry, and "C:\Download" is the default directory.
