Default directory for Outlook PST files

In my Win2000, it seems Outlook uses directory like this "C:\Documents
and Settings\gaffile\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\" as the default directory when creating
PST(Personal Storage Files) files.

I just wonder what is the default directory for different versions of
Outlook running on different versions of Windows.
 
That's the default for Win2000, WinXP & Win2003. I think it's My Documents
for Win9x variants but I may be wrong

Vince identified the location for WIndows 2000, XP, and 2003 Server. For
Windows 98, ME, it's %WinDir%\Application Data... for systems without
individual logins and when there are logins, and on Windows NT, they're in
%WinDir%\Profiles\user\Local Settings...
