Default Calendar Item is set with a recurrence

Hello,
Using outlook 2007, and every time I go in to create a new calendar item
it defaults with a recurrence of every week on Thursday. I am not
finding much info on this at all other that if the pc is a dell. The pc
is not a dell but an HP nc6230 laptop.
