Default alignment - justified

I want to set the default alignment to justified for all new docs. How can
this be done?

Define the normal style as such. Be aware that Word uses an extremely jejune
justification algorithm: full justification might make the page as a whole
look prettier, but readability is measurably reduced.

It can be done, but I would strongly discourage it. That is, I would
strongly discourage making the Normal style justified, as this will affect
almost every other style in Word, often in ways that you may not foresee but
that will come back to bite you. Instead, modify the Body Text style, then
select the default empty paragraph in Normal.dot and apply Body Text. For
instructions on all this and more, see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CustomizeNormalTemplate.htm and
