Decimal Places aren't copying into Access from Excel

I have a database setup but I am feeding it with data that is in an Excel
spreadsheet. I copy the data from Excel and then paste it into an Access
table. One of the fields is a number with 2 decimal places and for some
reason the decimal places will not copy in. I have tried everything I can
think of - I formatted the field in Access to be a long integer, with 2
decimal places, in standard form. When I put it in standard form, I finally
at least see a decimal but all numbers after the decimal are zeros.

Anyone got an idea?

Thanks!

A long integer is a whole number. Use a Double if you want a floating point
number.
