decimal place

Hi Guys
I have specify the decimal place of a number to be 1 in
the table design view, but why the number I enter in the
corresponding field is still automatically round up to a
number without decimal place
eg I enter 2.5 and it become 2
Why?????????
Looking forward to the answer!!!!!!!

Likely the data type of the field is Integer or Long Integer. Change it to
Single or Double.
