DECIMAL NUMBER

In the table design, at the top of the page, you have to select the data
type of your field. Select Number.

At the bottom of the page, change the "Field Size" property on the General
tab to either single or Double. Then, in the Decimal places field, select
3.

Dear Dale,
3 decimal places doesn't return 0.9 to 0.900 in my table.
Why? Any idea?

If you enter 0.900, it will be stored as 0.9. You can format the field or its
control in a form or report but the value is always 0.9.

Thank's Duane,
My doubt is lost now
The important thing is on the report.
How they look like.

Set the Format property of the Report textbox appropriately:

#.000

for example to show three decimal places.

change the "Field Size" property on the General
tab to either single or Double.

Or, indeed, Decimal (as name-checked in the subject of this thread).

Jamie.
