Decent but not fancy......

.........motherboard recommendation? My dimm slot started smoking and almost
melted the memory. Currently AMD2100XP with 1gig (2x 512) pc2700 ram.
Looking for something that will take "future" cpu upgrades, that is decent,
but still on a budget. Thanks.

Just be careful... It might have been the memory that caused the issue.
