When I tried to access a site that needed a membership
number, as soon as I started to type in the number, an
error popped up that says "Debug Assertion Failed." It
says to Retry or Debug. This always fails and then the
Internet Explorer will close. I have searched for help
but can't find anything to try. Help! Any ideas to fix??

Turn off IE debug. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced. Check
"Disable Script Debugging" and uncheck "Display a notification about every
script error"

Temporarily disable ad-blocker or firewall.

I've been having similar problems whenever I type in any
search or make any change to the address bar. After the
"debug assertion failed" message, I eventually
get a message saying that IE will shut down - under
details, it references that there is an error relating to
isnsys.dll. Are you getting similar error messages? I'm
told that that's a virus, but my virus software doesn't
detect it, and I can't manually remove it. IE has
essentially been rendered useless for me.
