dead HDD

Hello,

I have a 40GB Seagate Baracuda that I got from a friend to install
Linux for a school project. Yesterday I installed and it worked fine.
Today I went with it to the place I work and it didn't start anymore.
The BIOS didn't recognize it, no matter how I changed all the IDE
cables and power cords:( The other 2 HDDs I have work perfectly. This
HDD doesn't spin, it doesn't do anything...

Any ideas? I think it's something at the electric part. Can it be
fixed?

Thank you

Try another power connector, the metal tunnels the pins go
into can open up over time and not make good contact.

You quite sure you arent one of those rocket scientist fellas ? |-)

Yes, but it makes more sense to buy another off ebay.
