dead end?

Occasionally I will select to a site from my favorites list and the browser
will show net activity for about 3 seconds them nothing. Its like I never
tried the site, no page change, no 404, nothing, nada. Ok when tried later.
Nothing in event viewer or Avast logs.
Why please?

After doing all this listed above and writing post the site came up on its
own, Like a weird delay so please disregard.

well I cant guarantee a solution but ot sounds like one of 4 things: 1.
Internet Explorer is having a problem
2. The pages that you try to go to are having a problem
3. There is a problem with your favorites
4. The IE cache needs cleaning

So let me break this down logically to try to troubleshoot and get back to me:
Does Internet Explorer open other well known sites fine such as www.cnn.com
and microsoft.com?
Sometimes pages have problems due to net traffic, this may or may not be the
case.

As for internet explorer it stores temporary internet files, cookies and
history in a cache. It helps to clean this out. Most people do it weekly.
Go to in Internet Explorer. Tools, Internet options, Delete, delete
temporary internet files, OK, delete cookies, OK and finally clear history,
OK. Then close IE and try again.
Let me know what happens and give me more information based on what I asked
you and I will try to help you more. No guarantees.

If that is the case there may be some problem with your favoites. Repost
