'dde server window: explorer.exe - application error' Please help?

Hello, I am running a fully patched copy of XP pro + SP1, with an athlon
2600xp, 512Mb Ram and ati gfx card. The error in the subject line appears
usually when closing folders - giving the option to choose 'ok' to close the
error window or 'cancel' to debug, neither option prevents the error
re-occurring. Can anyone advise me of a way around this annoyance please?
