DC's not handling logins correctly

[JGB]

I have 3 DC's. Subnets A and B are local and each have a
DC. Subnet C is a remote site with a slow WAN link.
Problem, users in the local subnets are getting there
logon credentials from the DC on subnet C over the slow
WAN link and not one of the local DC's. I have built the
sites, subnets and populated them with the correct domain
controllers but it is not working like I thought it would.
Any thoughts???

What OS are this clients running ? If it is Win 9x/Me/NT, then install AD
Client Extensions on them to make them site aware.
