DCOM Troubleshooting

Hello,

I have a 3rd party app that required DCOM components. I have Windows
Firewall, Admin support tools, and COM+ components in my image, in addition
to the DCOM components. When I go to run the app, I get an error code of
2147024891 in the Event Log.

I have disabled the firewall and used dcomcfg to edit the limits of DCOM's
security.

Any ideas of what I'm missing would be very helpful.

Seabreeze,

Are you running the app under the Administrator user? (or user with admin rights?)

Also, run DCOMCNFG and select your DCOM server from the list and adjust the ACL's (launch permission and access permission).
Basically make sure you grant the access to the user you are logged under.
