DCOM Error

Following message i get from our webserver eventviewer , after our intranet
application stops working.

DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer <IP address> using any of
the configured protocols . Event ID 10009

I have to restart IIS Admin service to get web application working. It is
surprising that IIS admin / default web site is not stopped when web server
is down, but restarting IIS admin helps to bring back web application.

Any help ?

Are you running HP/Insight Manager. I know there were some issues with this.
Just throwing some ideas out there, since this could be so many things.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Rpc/DCOM_Protocols for the list of
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service protocol sequences.

No we are not running HP/Insight Manager. But looking at the registry i dont
see DCOM_protocols under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Rpc/. Is this
problem ?
