Anybody know something about DCL monitors? Could not find any reviews
on it.
How good/bad are they?
There is a nice deal on 19" DCL 9C model. Price: $199 (after rebate).
Can not find any info about its pixel/doc characteristic...Anybody know
it?

Thanks.

I have one of their monitors on my system in the office. Have only ha
it for a few months. No problems with the Equipment to date but, don'
expect the rebate. The company that handles the rebates makes you jum
through hoops to apply and then they reject your refund application.
It is a nice little racket they have going.....My advice is bu
something with a better up front price and skip the rebate scam...

I Purchased a DCL9C Monitor from Trgerdirec
for 299.99 with a $30 and a $70 Rebate
on 11/11/05
After Shipping and Sales Tax It cost $345.7
The $30 rebate came back
The $70 Has not arrived
* It was sent registered Mail
I know know I can Make $70 Bucks picking up Aluminum Cans faster tha
getting a rebate back from these people

Tigerdirect has a Link to Process Rebates that, somehow DO NOT GE
PROCESSED on the Tirgerdirect site

As to Quality.
After 105 Days in daily Use
The Green and Blue are Fine
But there is NO RED, Nope, There is NO RED AT ALL

As of Yet the Company has NOT responded to My Emails

Not Only will I Never buy a DCL Monitor

Sorry for your bad experiences & while I cannot speak one way or the
other regarding the monitor I can tell you that the internet is full
of horror stories about Tiger Direct and rebates. I'm sorry that you
didn't get a chance to read some of them before you gave these guys
your money because you wouldn't have had to read very many before you
decided to take your money elsewhere.

This won't help you now, but next time check out
www.resellerratings.com before you do business with an outfit you've
never dealt with before.

Now as for the monitor...usually a business will only have a 30 day or
less return policy. If your problem developed after 105 days then you
are probably stuck having to deal with the monitor manufacturer in
order to get any satisfaction.

Good luck!

I've had an DCL LCD Monitor for about 2 years and had no problems wit
it until today, 03/30/2006. Now, when I turn on the monitor, I see m
DeskTop for about 1 second and then it goes out, i.e. the screen i
totally black. Have no idea what the problem is

tlhumphrey,

I see a similar problem with a DCL9A+ with an nVidia Quadro card. The
correct video shows up for much less than one second, just a moment,
then goes dim. I you look closely, you might see that your screen is
not totally black, just very dim.

I haven't solved it, but wanted to post in case anyone else had.

I also made the mistake of buying a DCL Monitor from Tiger Direct.

It is a DCL9AW 1440 X 900 DVI-VGA

At what seems to be 900 from the right margin I have a solit lite blue
line from top to bottom which appeared after less than 1 weeks use.

All efforts to get any help from either DCL or from Tiger Direct have
failed.
Tiger Direct very quickly dropped DCL completely from it's site. It
is as if they never heard of the company.

My solution? Realize that I have been raped, and never go into that
dark alley occupied by Tiger Direct or DCL again.
