DC reboots after installing SP4

K

I have 2 DC's rebooting randomly since I installed SP4.
Here is the error in the event log:

Source: NTDS General
Category: Internal Processing
Event ID: 1173

Internal event: Exception c0000005 has occurred with
parameters 757b5954 and 0(Internal ID 0).

Is there a patch out yet to fix this?

Please help>

Have you checked your system event log for errors. I'm assuming that the
box may be blue screening. If that is the case you should see an event from
source "save dump". Check the log and post any errors in the group.

How often does it reboot? What do you see on the sctreen when it reboots?
What action is being performed when it reboots. The errors that you posted
are not usually related to a reboot.

Yes, I have checked the log, that is what I put in my
first post. That is the only error that occurs right
before it reboots. It does not blue screen, there is no
dump. There was a previous post from someone else with
the same error and the answer was that there was a fix,
but Microsoft hasn't released it yet. Is that correct?

There is a hotfix for this issue, but MS has not released
it yet. The KB is 824226, but you have to open a call
with MS to get it. However, they did say they would
refund the cost of the service call because it was a MS
problem.

request given by a station server or client, but it's always the same
warnig in the log file I wish we could find a way to solve the problem
because it's really anoying!!!
