DBX Files

Can't find where XP has the dbx files. In 98 they were
always in Application Data and could be managed. Can
anyone tell me where they are?

Under C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Application Dat
To find them all real quick, go to Search/All Files and Folders, type *.dbx and press search button
This will find the entire dbx file system and their location.

Hi, Ken.

Here are two ways:

1. If you just want to see where they are, right-click on your Inbox and
click Properties.

2. If you might want to change their location, click Tools | Options... |
Maintenance tab, the Store Folder...

The difference is not between WinXP and Win98, exactly. It's between OE6
and earlier versions of Outlook Express.

Actually, Ken, I think I already answered this question for you in
WindowsXP.Basics, didn't I?

In XP They are usually stored in
C:\Documents and settings\<username>\Application Data\Identities\<long
number>
