Daylight Savings Time Bug

5744. Daylight Savings Time here has ended, and instead of the clock going
back one hour, it went back two. The time zone is correct, so I am assuming
this is a bug. When I ran the synchronization tool, it corrected it.

Please report this with the Microsoft Beta Client beta software.

If you are dual booting, and have each operating system set to handle
daylight saving time, you will get two corrections. Each system you boot
into will change the clock one hour. I just went through this with my eldest
son.

It happens all the time.

I was just going to mention that because I *was* on XP at the time of the
change last night.

This solves the situation here - dual booting as well - thanks -
will set one OS NOT to handle clock changes

Yeah, but if you go to another OS now for example, what time will you see
then? I bet it will be two hours different then.

Well....I'm in XP Pro at this moment. I checked all OS's on all machines
first off this morning to make sure they were all were correct., and they
all are.

Bingo! happened with me. Just reset the clock to the "correct" time

I recall that Windows XP had this exact same issue before one of the
service packs. I clearly remember that when I first experienced the
end of DST with XP installed that it dropped me back two hours - one
hour for the time change at 0200, and another hour when it reached
0200 again...that's a "duh" as far as I'm concerned.

:)

It's pretty sad if Vista, which has been in development for five
(5!!!) years also suffers from this simple bug. I can't confirm it
here because I have the time sync set to poll every 24 hours and it
hit the server before I woke up Sunday morning.
