Robin,

I believe that if you are not currently logged in to the
PC as admin and that you have changed the admin password
and do not remember it as well. Then you will need to
download and create either the cd or diskette version of
the following utility:
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/
This utility will boot your pc, and ask several questions
if you do not know the answer just hit enter and use the
default. At 1 point it will ask if you want to change the
password type yes then type in "username xxx" without
quotes follow the rest of the messages until complete then
reboot, when it asks foe your login info type in your
username then xxx as the password. Don't forget to change
your password your current password is "xxx" without
quoutes.

Good luck.........

My daughter logged in under my name and changed my
password and has forgotten what she changed it to. Is
there a way that I can go in to safe mode and change it
back? I was the computer administrator and all the kids
had limited access so there is no other way for me to
access this.

Accept defaults EXCEPT when it prompts to scan for SCSI devices. It's
been our experience that if you allow it to scan for SCSI and there is
none it will hang.

The default user to change password for IS adminstrator. There's no need
to enter anything except the password you want the adminstrator password
changed to and then answer Yes to the remaining prompts. Once the
administrator password is changed reboot and login as adminstrator with
the new password (if XP Home must enter Safe Mode for this) and change
whatever other passwords need changing.
