Hello,

When I copy a row dates from Excel to Power Point's datasheet using the clip
board not only do I loose the formating but the dates themselves change,
usually to a date several years in the future. What am I doing wrong?

TIA
Mike

PowerPoint itself doesn't have a datasheet, so we need to work out exactly what
you're doing.

PowerPoint has tables and, assuming version 2003 or earlier, it has MSGraph to
make charts for it, and MSGraph charts have datasheets. I'm guessing it's
this, but let us know and we'll go from there.

Hi Steve,

Yes, it is the data sheet in MS Graph that I'm having difficulty with.

Mike

Hi Mike,

First thing to remember is that the datasheet in MSGraph is nothing near as
sophisticated as an Excel sheet. I think you may need to select the cells involved,
right click and choose Number, then reformat them after you've pasted in data.
