Date/Time Field

I'm using date/time fields in my application. I use the short time format but
it gives the full date and time when you click on a field. I only want it to
have the following format ##:## which is what I have the input mask set as,
and it displays correctly.
But when I try to change the time I get the full date and time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rob

Set the datetime field in the table to shortdate and complete the input
mask.
