Date tab Inbox header?

I have a new computer with Outlook Professional Edition 2003 - SP2. On the
Inbox header there is a Date tab with a down arrow that I cannot remove. I
don't know what it is for nor can I use it. It is grayed out. I don't like
it there because it makes my Inbox header to big. Can you tell me how to
remove this Date tab?

This is the "Group By Box", indicating that your e-mails are currently grouped by Date. You can
selectively group by other columns by dragging them up to the Group By Box. You can hide this by
clicking on the corresponding toolbar button on the "Advanced" toolbar. If you don't see this
toolbar, you can display it by right-clicking in the toolbar area and selecting "Advanced".
