Hi

I have a dates in excel that show as dd/mm/yyyy. However, when you click on
the cell it shows format mm/dd/yyyy. Can someone advise how this can be
achieved for the rest of the spreadsheet without retyping?

what is the formula used? I tried rightclicking on the cell but the format
is standard as the other cells but still not showing the diff date when
clicked on

Thanks in advance

hi...

select the cells which u want to change the fomat.
and... go to
Format-->Cells-->Number tab , then select "Custom" from catagory list.
Type your format in "Type" box.

The selected cells are formatted to your custom date format.
