Date format

For a date like "Jan-08" I have the format set to "mmm/yy". What input mask
do I need?

You need no Input Mask at all. Formatting is about display and Input Masks are
about controlling input.

Note that Jan-08 is NOT a date. A proper date needs a day value. You can use
formatting to suppress the display of the day, but the day must still be there
in the underlying value.
