Date form fields in Word 2003

I've created several documents using form fields in Word 2003. Most of them
contain text form fields that have had the properties set to only allow dates
to be entered. Most of these fields have also been set with Bold formatting
on them.
When testing the forms with the document protected, I'm finding that when
you enter a date into the date fields, it appears in Bold but when you tab to
the next field, the Bold formatting is lost. All the other fields retain the
Bold formatting, but the date fields lose it.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?QW5keQ==?=,

Yes, this has cropped before, I was able to repro it, and the problem has been
reported to Microsoft as a bug. It's basically what's covered in this article:

Incorrect Font Is Applied After a Style Is Applied to a Form Field

As far as I know, there's currently no bug-fix available.
