Date field cannot be updated

I am trying to enter information into a form and i get a warning sign that
reads "field cannot be updated" after clicking ok thru the sign 5 times it
lets me update the field. When I go to the query and the table the field is
based on I do not get the warning sign. It lets me update the date field
perfectly fine. I have already checked there are no data locks or macros
that would affect this field. Please help!!!

Is there more than one user at a time? Is the form based on more than one
table? If not, it just might be a corruption issue.

There is more than 1 user but not at the same time. The form is based on 1
table, upon which I createda query and then the form from the query.
