Date display format

I want to change the display of the date in the "When"
field from mm/dd/yyyy to mm/dd/yy. Douglas said that I
should "set the format of the textbox in which it appears
explicitly to m/d/yy", but I don't know how to do that.
Can someone please explain specifically what to do?

In the format property of the date field, type exactly what you want
(mm/dd/yy).

In design mode do a right click on the text box and select properties,
there you will find the format property.
