Date and time resetting

The date and time sometimes reset to Jan 1,2002, 12:00
AM. Don't know when this happens or why. Got XP a few
months ago. Started having this problem about a month
ago.
 
If it happens after power-off's but not warm boots, I'd say the mainboard
battery is giving up the ghost......
