Access can do this. However Access requires that each user have full
access to the folder where the file is located. They need to have rights to
create and delete a file and to read and edit all files. In addition you
need a good solid LAN system.
Access likes it a lot better if you use a split database. That is a
database on the server that only holds the data and no forms, reports
queries etc. Each user then has a front end that is linked to the table(s)
on the back end and those front ends have all the queries, forms, reports
code etc.
