Database Recovery/Repair

I have created a database for the school at which I work. It holds all the
demographic information as well as table/queries/etc to perform all the
tasks necessary to its operation. I have it password protected and only I
and two other people have that password or even reason to use the database.
Today when I went to use it, I got a message that another had ended a
session and not closed it properly, did I want to repair it. I clicked yes
and was asked for the password which I entered. I got an invalid pasword
message and the application stopped. I know the password, I entered it in
the proper case and talked with the other two people, neither of whom had
used it in the last two days. Is it possible to recover and repair this
database? I have a backup, but it is a week old and in that time I much new
data has been entered. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a utility from Microsoft called Jetcomp.exe. It can sometimes
repair problems with Access databases that the built in compact and repair
cannot. Search for it at Microsoft.com.
