My database is performing slowly via the network, the back end is located on
our server and there are 2 other workstations. It takes the db a while to
access the tables and refresh the form. All machines have plenty of ram and a
pentium 4 cpu or better. No other problems accessing programs or data from
server, except for access. Is there a setting in access or something else I
can do to improve the performance?

Here's a good place to start, Tony Toews' Microsoft Access Performance
