....I have Microsoft Suite 2003, which includes Microsoft Works database.

I have created a template on Word that I would like to have integrate
specific information from the database at specific places.

Can someone help me figure out how to set this up?

Thanks in advance.

Know nought about Microsoft Works database, but maybe the information in the
article “Access a database and insert into a Word document the data that you
find there” at:

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/InterDev/GetDataFromDB.htm

is also applicable to that.

Does mailmerge do what you want, but once again, I am not sure about the use
of a Works database in its raw format as a data source. If you can export
the data to a text file, you could use that as a datasource.
