database file exists but nothing seems to be in it. My records v.

I have found a file indicating existing database, but it does not show my
records. How can I restore my database (I got an error message re: unknown
state) if I didn' t back it up?

How is this an Outlook question?
 
Business contact manager database in outlook. My contacts are still there,
as are my inbox, etc, but accounts and business contacts are missing in their
entirity.
