DATABASE DISAPPEARS

Today when I clicked the "restore" button on my access database, the database
disappeared. Access still shows the database as being open (it's listed
under the "Windows" menu), but the database is nowhere to be found. I don't
know what's caused this to happen all of a sudden - I haven't changed
anything at all. Help! (FYi, I tried selecting tools-options-view-hidden
object, but that didn't fix the problem).

I'm not familiar with a restore button. Is this something on a form that
someone created? If so try looking at the code behind the button to see what
is happening.

You could also try hitting the F11 key to bring up the database window if it
is hidden, minimized, or hiding behind other windows. There's also been cases
where the database window is completely off the screen. Go to Window, Cascade
and see if it shows up.

Hi Jerry! The "restore" button is next to the maximize and close buttons in
the upper-left corner of the window. FYI, I used "compact and repair" under
tools/database utilities, and that seemed to solve the problem. No idea what
caused it to happen in the first place, though!

Maybe you accidentally hit the minimize button.
